The mission of the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation scholarship is to select students who have the desire to further their education beyond the high school level.

Rules & Regulations

1. The scholarship is to be used for education beyond the high school level in any college, trade or technical school.

2. The scholarship is open to any senior of a school located in the city of Mentor or student of a Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce member.*

*Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce employees & family members are not eligible to apply.

3. There will be no restrictions regarding race, color, creed, gender, religion or disability.

4. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded. Providing the necessary funds are available, other scholarship awards may be given as deemed appropriate by the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Committee.

5. The student must currently be enrolled in a career technical program at his/her high school.

6. The student must have education plans consistent with his/her current career technical field.

7. If, for any reason, the scholarship recipient is unable to use the scholarship during the ensuing school year, the student forfeits his/her right to the scholarship.

8. The selection process will be made by the Foundation Committee based on the information submitted in this application.

9. The information requested helps the Foundation Committee understand the applicant's qualifications. However, not all of the information is part of the criteria for awarding the scholarship. This should not preclude any student who wishes to further his/her education from participating.
